SATURDAY RITES FOR W.A. AYERS
Services were held Saturday, 2:30 p.m. at
Tishomingo Chapel for Willie Augusta Ayers,
73 year old retired Kossuth farmer, who died in the
Corinth Hospital Friday after several days' illness.
Service was conducted by the Revs. E.E. Neill
and R.B. Patterson. Burial was in the
Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery at Shiloh with
McPeters Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Ayers was a member of the Baptist
Church.
Survivors include his wife, the former Bell Vina
Claunch of Route 1, Kossuth; three sons, Levi,
Clovis, both of Kossuth and Randolph of Philadelphia,
Miss.; three daughters, Mrs. Riley Odle,
Mrs. J.B. Aldridge, and Mrs. Vance
Mathis, all of Kossuth; and a half
brother, Jim, of Kossuth.
He also leaves 8 grandchildren and 2 great
grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Bee Smith, Early
Strickland, Odell Barnett,
Jack Lindsey, Emmitt Gurley
and Charles Neill.
