MRS. RORIE DIED AT 83
Mrs. Clara Sue Rorie, 83, Route 1,
Rienzi, died Sunday at 9 p.m. at Tishomingo County Hospital at
Iuka after an extended illness. She was the widow of Sanford
Stanley Rorie.
Mrs. Rorie was a member of the Antioch Baptist
Church. Funeral services are set for 4 p.m. Tuesday at Sardis
Baptist Church with the Rev. Clifford Rinehart
and the Rev. Roy Rinehart officiating. Burial
will be at Sardis Cemetery.
She is survived by eight sons, Ollis Rorie,
James Rorie and Staton Rorie,
all of Rienzi, and Rubin Rorie, J.W.
Rorie and Gordon Rorie, all of
Corinth, Ira Rorie of Burnsville and Raymond
Rorie of Trevor Wisconsin; three daughters,
Mrs. Eva Burcham and Mrs. Lillie May
Duncan, both of Rienzi and Mrs. Virgie Burcham
of Corinth.
She also leaves a brother, Reuben Smith of
Milledgeville, Tennessee; 60 grandchildren; 80 great
grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Oscar Burcham, Cecil
Woodruff, Homer Ray Woodruff,
Mansel Searcy, Wesley Searcy
and Bonny Palmer.
McPeters Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
