LAST RITES FOR MRS.
AYERS TO BE HELD TODAY (1954)
Mrs. W.A. Ayers
of Corinth, Route 1, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Riley
Odle of Kossuth, at 3:30 a.m. yesterday after an
illness of one year. She was 77 years of age.
The Revs. C.M.
Wilbanks and E.E. Neill will conduct funeral
services this afternoon at 2:30 at the Tishomingo Chapel, with burial
following in the Presbyterian Shiloh Cemetery.
Mrs. Ayers
was a member of the Baptist Church. She was born in Prentiss County and
was married to W.A. Ayers on Nov. 4, 1900. Her husband
preceded her in death on Jan. 16, 1953.
Survivors include: Three sons,
Levi Ayers of Kossuth, Clovis Ayers,
Kossuth, and Randolph Ayers of Philadelphia, Miss.;
three daughters, Mrs. J.B. Aldridge, and Mrs. Riley
Odle of Kossuth and Mrs. Vance Mathis
of Corinth; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will include Bee
Smith, Early Strickland, Odell
Barnett, Cecil Odle, Hoyt Voyles
and Jake Austin.
