SATURDAY FOR MRS. GRIMES (1958)
Services for Mrs. J.B.
Grimes of Route 4, Corinth, are to be held tomorrow afternoon at
2 o'clock at the Wheeler Grove Church with Revs. Estes Denton
and Staten Galyean in charge of last rites.
Mrs. Grimes
died at 6 o'clock this morning at her home following an extended illness
of 10 years. She was 79 years of age.
She was born in Mason,
Tennessee, and was a member of the Methodist church. Mrs. Grimes
was married to J.B. Grimes at Selmer, Tennessee, on April
25, 1903.
She leaves her husband, two
sons, Wess Grimes of Rock Island, Ill., and Henry
Grimes of Starkville, Miss.; one daughter, Mrs. James
Allen of Corinth; one brother, Jeff Cook of
Corinth; one sister, Mrs. Pearl Switzer of Corinth; and
13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Interment will be in the Wheeler
Grove Cemetery with McPeters Funeral Home in charge of
arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Grady
Rencher, Milton Benjamin, Woodrow
Ross, William Lemons, Dennis
Allen and Marcus Allen.
