RITES SET THURSDAY FOR J.N. SHULTS
Farmer of Alcorn County, Age 72, Died Early Today
Following Long Illness
Funeral service for James Nicholas "Nick" Shults
of Route 3, Corinth will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock
from the Farmington Baptist Church with Rev. Carroll
Jackson of Jackson, Tennessee, officiating. Mr. Shults
died this morning at 6:58 o'clock following more than a year of
failing health. He was 72 years of age.
Mr. Shults, a farmer, was a native of Alcorn
county and was a member of the Baptist Church. He was married
ot Miss Eliza Mae Kelly in 903 (assume this
should be 1903?), who survives. He was well known in the area
where he farmed for many years and many friends and relatives
were grieved to learn of his death.
Burial will be in the Farmington cemetery with McPeters
Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Eliza Mae Shults of
Route 3, Corinth; three sons, Leonard, Earl and Allen
Shults, all of Route 3, Corinth; and one daughter, Mrs.
Mamie Hearn of Route 3, Corinth. He is also
survived by 13 grandchildren.
Friends and neighbors will serve as pallbearers.
