JAMES HANCOCK, 79, SUCCUMBS
James Robert Hancock, 79, 204 Sharp
Street, Corinth, died Wednesday at Magnolia Hospital
after an extended illness.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Wheeler Grove
Baptist Church with Rev. R.B. Gray
officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Grove Cemetery
with Coleman Funeral Home in charge of
arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Cecil Spencer
Hancock; 5 sons, R.C. Hancock,
Melvin Hancock, Garvin Hancock,
George Hancock and Dee Junior
Hancock, all of Corinth; four daughters, Mrs.
Mary Francis Austin and Mrs. Ethel
Bearden, both of Rienzi; Mrs. Florence
Smith, Corinth and Mrs. Nona Faye
Mullins, Walnut; five stepsons, K.C.
Spencer, Michigan, R.J. Spencer,
Leo Spencer, Cleo Spencer,
all of Corinth; a step-daughter, Mrs. Annie
Kalista, Stevenville, Montana, three brothers,
Elbert Hancock and Oscar
Hancock, both of Rienzi, Mark Hancock,
Ripley, Mississippi; a sister, Mrs. Ada Crum,
Michie, Tennessee, 59 grandchildren and 28 great
grandchildren.
