LONG TIME RESIDENT OF CITY PASSES AWAY
(Sent
for submission in Family Branches by Vickie Clark.)Mrs. Frances Richardson, wife of J.W.
Richardson, died last night at 7:20 o’clock at her home on Proper
Street, after an illness of the past several months.
Mrs. Richardson has not been well for the past year,
but has only been confined to her bed for about one month. Her condition
has been gradually declining, until a few weeks ago it became so much
worse that her children, James Richardson, of Cedar
Grove, New Jersey, and Miss Falla Richardson, deaconess,
of Texas, were summoned home, and her family have been at her bedside
since her illness.
Deceased has spent her entire life in or around Corinth. She has been a
resident of this city for several years, and is well known throughout this
section, where she was held in the highest esteem.
Mrs. Richardson was a consecrated Christian woman,
having united with the Methodist church in her early life, and has lived
consistent to that faith.
She was 64 years old, and besides her husband, is survived by seven
children.
Funeral services took place this afternoon at 1 o’clock, and the body
was laid to rest in the family burying ground at the old homestead of Rev.
W.F. Richardson, in Tennessee, father of her husband.
Friends of the family extend their sympathy in their bereavement.
