Marriage Bond
Know all men these presents,
That we John H. Mills and George A. W. Alpine
Warren County and State of Mississippi, are held and firmly bound unto Henry
S. Foote governor of the State of Mississippi, (for the time being,)
and his successors in office, in the sum of Two Hundred Dollars, current money
of the United State: For which payment, well and truly to be made, we bind
ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators, jointly and severally,
firmly by these presents.
The condition on the above obligation is such, That whereas, a
Marriage is intended to be celebrated between the above bound John H. Mills
and Mary Cuddy
Now, if there be no lawful cause too obstruct said marriage, or
any reason why the same should not take place, then this Bond to be void and of
no effect, otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.

Minister, Lawfully Authorized: You are hereby licensed to celebrate the rites
of Matrimony between John H. Mills and Mary Cuddy for
doing which this shall be your warrant. Given under my hand and seal of office

virtue of a license from the Clerk of the Probate Court of Warren County, I
have this day celebrated the Rites of Matrimony between John H. Mills
and Mary Cuddy. Given under my hand this 23rd day of November
