This interesting photograph shows the teachers and students of that class sometime during the summer of '42. The United States had just entered the war against the Axis a few months earlier and the war was probably on the minds of many in the photo, especially the older ones. The tide of war had not yet turned against the Axis and the outcome of the war was still very much in doubt.
