congregation.

words; And they continued steadfastly in the apostle doctrine and in breaking

was administered and washing one another feet harmony and good feeling
seemed to abound, and we trust that the fruits may be gathered in future

Then opened a door for the reception of members, whereupon brother
Jacob Peeler and Sister
Mary Peeler, presented letters, they were both, cordially received
to our fellowship.
Then took up the references, we agree that the ordination of Bro. George
T. Cotton, be attended
too, tomorrow moving 9 O’Clock. With regard to choosing another deacon
it is considered impracticable, or unnecessary as we consider two fill
the requirements of the Bible.

Sunday morning 9 o’clock, the church met perserant to adjournment.
Bro. George T. Cotton, having been previously chosen to the office of deacon,
took his seat for ordination, Elders present William L. Dougherty and John
B. Huddleston.
The ordination began by Eld. Huddleston; Hymn; Jesus, united by thy
grace; Prayer by Eld. Huddleston.

of the office of deacon by Eld.
Dougherty. Dedication prayer by Eld. Dougherty; Hymn; Up
to the throne 0, God of Love; By
Eld. Huddleston. Right hand of fellowship, by the Presbytery
and church. At an early hour afterwards, preaching commenced, to one
of the largest congregations ever assembled at this place. Eld. Dougherty
preached from the last verses of the 7th chapter of Matthew. After
which the sacrement of the Lords Supper was administered, then we washed
one anothers
feet, during which time Love seemed to abound.

request our Clerk to prepare a copy against our next meeting containing

We the Primitive Baptist Church at Pleasant Hill believing the doctrine
of Election Predestination. Effectual calling and final perserverance of
the saints to Glory (through Grace) Baptism by emersion Do certify that
our beloved Brother (or Sister) is in full fellowship with us and requesting
a letter of dismission is hereby dismissed from us when joined to another
church of the same faith and order wherever God in his Providence may cast
