In the name of God Amen!


I, J V Walker of the County of Tate and the State of Mississippi being of sound and disposing mind, but knowing the frailty and uncertainty of human life, do make and publish this my last will and testament hereby making all other testamentary depictions by me heretofore made.

1st I desire that all my just debts be paid as soon after my death as my executors can realize the means out of my effects in the manner the may deem most advisable.

2nd I Desire that the residue of my property both real and personal of any kind whatever shall be the property of my beloved wife Lucy Amanda Walker to have and to hold the same in her own right and as her own property to dispose of or exchange control as she may desire during her natural life.

3rd I desire that at the death of my said wife all of my property that may then remain shall be equally divided between my children.

4th I hereby nominate and appoint my beloved wife and son M V Walker and son-in-law N B Crenshaw my Executrix and Executors of this my last will and testament and I desire that they be authorized to carry out this will without giving any security of any kind whatever.

Wherewith I have set my hand and affixed my seal this the 21st day of November A.D. 1884.

Personally appeared before the undersigned Sam J House Chancery Clerk of said County and State M V Walker and N B Crenshaw two subscribing witnesses to a certain instrument of writing hereto attached purporting to be the last will and testament of J V Walker late of Tate County deceased, bearing date the 21st day of Nov A.D. 1884. Who being first duly sworn depose and say, that said J V Walker signed, sealed, published and declared said instrument as his last will and testament in their presence on the day and date there of that said testator was then of sound disposing mind and memory and more than 21 years of age, that they subscribed said instrument as witnesses there to at the instance and request and in the presence of said testator and also in the presence of each other on the day and year aforesaid.
