of J U Poag, Deceased

I, J U Poag, of Coldwater, Tate Co, Mississippi, being of sound mind, make this my last will and testament.

My estate consists of a house and lot in the town of Coldwater, on which there is held one deed of trust by F W Miller for $650.00; also small stock of groceries. After the deed of trust is satisfied and all my just debts are paid, then the remainder of my estate, I give and bequeath to my wife Mary A Poag. I also appoint L E Henderson executor of this will without bond, and also that he be relieved of making any settlement with any Court.

Personally appeared before me the undersigned authority in and for said County and State, the below signed C E Wright and S D Wooten, who being by me first duly Sworn, deposes and says that he did, in the presence of the other witness thereto sign and witness and the signature of J U Poag, on the day and year therein mentioned, to a certain instrument of writing which has been presented to the Chancery Court of Tate County, Miss., as the last will and testament of J U Poag, deceased; and in and that the said J U Poag, did, on the day and year therein mentioned and in the presence of the affiant and the remaining witnesses thereto, to wit: S D Wooten and C E Wright, sign publish and declare said instrument of writing to be his last will and testament; and that at said instrument of writing to be his last will and testament; and that at said time, the said J U Poag was of sound and disposing mind and memory and more than 21 years of age, and in law entitled to make and publish his last will and testament.
