Death has been in our midst recently taking Mr. J. H. Hudson who died last Friday night, and was buried at Green Leaf Sunday. His death had been anticipated for some time but was none the less a shock to his family and friends. His bereaved wife and little children have the sympathy of the entire community.

Hernando--Services for Hettie Dean Hudson, 98, of Hernando, homemaker, who died of respiratory failure Jan 7 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Desoto in Southaven, will be held at 11 a.m. today at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch, with burial in Mt Zion Cemetery in Independence.
She was a member of Mt Zion Baptist Church in Independence. Mrs. Hudson, the widow of
Walter C Hudson, leaves two daughters, Marjorie Hawks of Hernando and
Audrey H Ross of Oakland, Miss; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Widow of Mississippian Will Be Buried This Afternoon
Services for Mrs. Susie Harrison Hudson, widow of Henry Hudson; Olive Branch, Miss., who died Thursday at St Joseph's Hospital, will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at the Maple Memorial Methodist Church at Olive Branch with the
Rev Edward Maxey officiating. Burial will be there with Brantley Funeral Home in charge. She was 70.
Mrs. Hudson was born in Cockrum, Miss., and had lived in Olive Branch 35 years. Her Husband, a farmer, died last year.
Mrs. Hudson was a member of the Maple Memorial Methodist Church.
She leaves three sons, Raymond Hudson, Germantown; Harrison Hudson, Olive Branch, and
Paul Hudson, Byhalia, Miss.,' two Daughters, Mrs. W P Bailey, Miller City, Miss., and
Mrs. David Covey, Sikeston, Mo.; three sisters, Mrs. John Tredway of Cockrum,
Mrs. Walter Bailey of Olive Branch, and Miss Jennie Harrison of Miller, Miss.,; and a brother,
Tom Harrison of Miller.
