After suffering a cancer for a long time Mrs. Louisa Greer died Sunday night aged 90 years. Her remains were laid to rest in the Greenleaf Cemetery. She was a life long member of the Methodist Church. She is survived by seven children.

Died at her home, on Sunday night April 1, "Aunt" Louisa Greer the oldest person in our community Mother and Grand-Mother of many of our citizens, loved by all who knew her. She has suffered long and now is at rest. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon about four o'clock by Dr F A Knight.

MR. HENRY GREER AND HORSE KILLED BY LIGHTENING LAST FRIDAY.
The people of this neighborhood are greatly grieved over the sad death of Mr. Henry A Greer, which occurred Friday afternoon as he was returning to his home from the field during a thunder storm. He was struck by lightening and both he and his horse were instantly killed. Mr. Greer will be greatly missed by his many friends. He was a devoted Christian and a good citizen.
Note: Henry A Greer married 21 may 1901 Olivia Mae Allison who was born 15 mar 1884 and died 04 April 1955. Both are buried in Lewisburg Cemetery in Desoto Co MS. After the death of Henry, Olivia married Clem M Broadway on 24 December 1911. Henry and Olivia Greer's children were Katie Lou married Ernest M Anderson, Jewell married Thomas L Chamberlin, Henry Winston married his cousin Mae Violet Embrey, daughter of Colbert and Sallie Ferguson Embrey, Willie Mae married Alfred Francis Cole.

It is with sadness we report the passing away on Tuesday morning of MR. GENERAL GREER, after being ill for some weeks. He leaves a large circle of friends besides a large family of married children, one daughter, Mrs. Cora, is at home. MR. GREER was a kindly genial man, who will be greatly missed in the community. We extend sympathy to the sorrowing loved ones.

MRS. JODIE GREER, wife of JOE GREER, passed away Saturday night after being sick for some time. She leaves a husband and several young children to mourn her loss. She was the daughter of BEN HARWELL, who was killed by a cyclone near Lewisburg some time a go. Her remains were interred in the California Cemetery Sunday evening in the presence of a large concourse of people.

W C Greer, who moved to Whitehaven from Desoto County, Miss, two and a half years ago died yesterday in Whitehaven at the home of his daughter,
Mrs. Gladys Mills. He had been ill about five months. He was 81.
A retired farmer, Mr. Greer was a member of Greenleaf Methodist Church near Coldwater, Miss. His wife,
Mrs. Betty Neal Greer died in 1937.
He also leaves another daughter, Mrs. Eunice Dancy of Memphis; and three sons,
W V Greer and H W Greer, Hernando, and J L Greer, Whitehaven; two brothers,
J L and L M Greer, Coldwater, Miss, and three sisters, Mrs. Helon Merrill, Mrs. J E Ferguson and

Joe Sier Greer, widely known retired planter and merchant of Greenleaf, Miss, father of five Shelby Countains, died Thursday at his home in Greenleaf. He was 91.
Mr. Greer, a member of a pioneer Tate County family, was a lifelong resident of the Greenleaf area. He was a Methodist and a Woodman of the World. He retired a number of years ago and had been ill for a long time.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Mary Lee Greer, two daughters, Mrs. Lois
Droke, Horn Lake, Miss, and Mrs. Pearl Davis, Memphis; five sons, Floyd
Greer, Whitehaven, Tenn., J M, Cecil and Randolph Greer of Memphis and

DRAIN FLUID FATAL TO J M GREER

Joseph Mims Greer, whose family said he mistakenly drank drain cleaner for Epsom salts, died at Baptist Hospital at 5:35 p.m. yesterday.
Relatives said Mr. Greer, 55, of 876 Estival, went into the kitchen Sunday morning to take a dose of Epsom salts for an upset stomach. Mr. Greer's eyesight and taste were poor and without glasses he could not distinguish between the bottle of drain cleaner and medicine, they said.
He drank the cleaner by mistake. Seconds later he suffered violent stomach pains and was rushed to Baptist Hospital.
Born and reared in Coldwater, Miss Mr. Greer, a Memphian the past 35 years, was a shipping clerk at Bry's. He leaves his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Martin and Mrs. Nelwyn Kennedy both of Memphis, and Mrs. Josephine Marie Farley of Corpus Christie, Texas; a brother F B Greer of Capleville; two sisters,
Mrs. Pearl Davis of Memphis and Mrs. Lois Droke of Coldwater; and three half brothers, Cecil Greer and Randolph Greer of Memphis and W B Greer of Coldwater. Cosmopolitan Funeral Home in charge.

Automobile Mechanic Dies at 58 Rites Set Tomorrow
Benjamin Floyd Greer of 5515 Pidgeon Roost Road, an automobile mechanic at Jones Service Station at Parkway and Lamar, died at 2:05 yesterday morning at Kennedy Veterans Hospital after an illness of five weeks. He was 58.
Services will be held at 2:30 tomorrow afternoon at Cosmopolitan Funeral Home. Burial will be at Memorial Park.
Born at Coldwater, Miss, Mr. Greer had lived in Memphis since 1920. He was a member of the American Legion and a
Veteran of World War I. He was a Methodist.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Winnie Greer; a son, James F Greer of Memphis; two sisters, Mrs. Lois Droke of Horn Lake, Miss, and Mrs. Pearl Davis of Memphis; three half-brothers, W B Greer of Coldwater, J R Greer and C U Greer, both of Memphis; his step-mother, Mrs. Mary Lee Greer of Coldwater and a
