Max Burford Graham passed away at Veterans Medical Center Thursday night, Aug 7, at 10:15 p.m.

Mr. Graham was a member of Mount Zion Southern Baptist Church. He was an ordained minister.

He leaves his wife, Jessie Smith Graham, a daughter Lynna Melville Graham Clark of Cox's Creek, KY a son-in-law, Jeff Clark of Cox's Creek.

He also leaves a brother, Lester Graham of Independence; a sister, Virginia Graham Walker of Independence. He leaves his ninety one year old mother, Lynna Burford Graham of Independence.

Mr. Graham had a father and two brothers who predeceased him.

Mr. Graham was a retired cattle farmer and did a lot of supply preaching as long as he was able.

The officiating clergy were Dr W A Smith of Albany, GA, Bro Austin Moore, Jr. of Independence, and Bro Ervin Brown of Hernando.

Active pallbearers were Johnny Wallace, Johnny Ferguson, Tommy Woodard, Danny freeze, David Shackleford, Tom Hood and Jim Buchanan.

Honorary pallbearers were Harvey Graham, W G Powell, Dr M M Powell, Jr, Joseph Graham, R W Burford and Reed Pope.

Mrs. Kathleen Ferguson Graham, 72, of Coldwater died October 30. The funeral was held October 31 at Brantley Phillips Funeral Home of Hernando. The interment was held at Mt Zion Cemetery, Independence.

She leaves two daughters: Mrs. Barbara Shackleford of Independence and Mrs. Kay Lindsey of Hernando; three sons: Mr. Wayne Graham of Senatobia, Mr. Joseph Graham of Independence, and Mr. Danny Graham of Coldwater; one sister: Mrs. Lois Cummings of Memphis; one brother, Mr. Herbert Ferguson, of Independence; 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Bryant Graham, Earney Graham, Michael Graham, Dennis Shackleford, David Shackleford, Hugh Allen Massey, Dale Lindsey, and Rusty Graham.

Mrs. Graham was a member of Coldwater Baptist Church.
