Mrs. T. W. Bailey died on Thursday evening of last week at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Daisy Parks, at Independence. Mrs. Bailey has been suffering from an ulcerated foot for some time. The Doctor found it necessary to amputate her lower limb above the knee on account of it being affected; she did not live long after the operation. She is survived by three children. Her remains were interred in the Greenleaf cemetery.

Note: Mrs. T. W. Bailey was the former Josephine Craddock, daughter of James H. Craddock and Martha Austin.

Jim Bailey who has been afflicted with tuberculosis for quite a while died on Friday night of last week, aged 41 years, he leaves a wife and large family of children to mourn his loss, his remains were interred in the Green Leaf Cemetery, Rev. W. A. Bowlin held the funeral services, he was a member of the Methodist Church.

Mr. James Arnold Bailey passed away Fri June 2, 1978 at South Panola Hospital in Batesville where he was under Dr.'s care many years. He was 76. Oldest son of the late Mr. James and Mrs. Laura Burford Bailey. Services were held at Greenleaf Methodist Church burial in the Church Cemetery at 2 p.m. Sunday. Brantley Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife Mrs. Evelyn Sowell Bailey, four daughters Mrs. Modena Edwards, Mrs. Dorothy Frazier, Mrs. Peggy Johnston and Mrs. Linda Moore all of Coldwater, two sons, Thompson Bailey of Coldwater and James C Bailey of Michigan. He leaves 5 sisters Mrs. Jessie Billingsley and Mrs. Julia Sowell, Mrs. Mary Gibson and Mrs. Beulah Floate of Holly Springs and Mrs. Dave Embrey of West Memphis, Ark and a brother Bob Bailey of Olive Branch.
