Last Will and Testament of Alford Wallace

In the name of God Amen, I Alford Wallace being of sound mind and disposing mind and memory, and considering the uncertainty of this mortal life do make and declare this my last will and testament in manner and form following.

1st, I hereby give bequeath and devise to my wife Mary Wallace, all of my Real, Personal and Financial property, properties to have and to hold his natural life and at his death all of my property above named to be equally divided among my four bodily heirs To Wit: Martha Jane Page, T J Wallace, N W Knight and Susan E T Wallace and their bodily heirs and in case of death of any of the four heirs above maintaining their bodily heirs all to have and to hold the same equal right as the aforesaid four bodily heirs.

2nd I hereby give bequeath and devise to my heirs bodily of my son R L Wallace to wit Adam Wallace and his Bro or Sister in case one or both should live one hundred dollars $100.00 to be paid when the aforesaid heirs shall have arrived at the age of maturity and case they both die before the age of maturity the said one hundred dollars to be equally divided between my four bodily heirs above named or their bodily heir.

Witness my hand and seal this the Twenty-ninth ninth (29) day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and Eighty three (1883).

The State of Mississippi, Tate County, Chancery Court 
Before the Clerk _____ Monday in Vacation 1903. In the matter of a certain instrument of writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Alford Wallace deceased. This day came before the undersigned Clerk of our said Court J W Bowden subscribing witness to a certain instrument of writing bearing date the 29th day of October 1883 and purporting to be the last will and testament of Alford Wallace late of Tate County deceased who after being first duly sworn according to law deposed and say that he saw the said Alford Wallace sign publish and declare the said instrument of writing on the day of its date, as for his last will and testament that this deponent signed the same as subscribing witness thereto, in the presence of the said Alford Wallace and at his request that he saw J H Sowell the other subscribing witness sign said instrument in the presence of said Alford Wallace and at his request that he and the other subscribing witness subscribed the same in the presence of each other and that at the time of signing said writing the said Alford Wallace was of sound and disposing mind and more than twenty one years of age.
