Seeking the families of Lucinda BROWNLEE, b ca 1870, m Rob WESTBROOK, abt 1890. They were living in Lincoln Co, OK, around 1900. They had 5-8 children; Viola, Thelma, Houston, Gillie, Florence, and Jack. Lucinda died in Lincoln Co, OK abt 1910, and the children were returned to Tate Co, MS, to be raised by relatives. Houston and Gillie were adopted by Dekalb GARRISON and Birdie ATKINS. Viola lived with an elderly BROWNLEE couple, then adopted by Percy LEWERS. Gillie married her first cousin, Jack CROCKETT, of Tate Co, MS.

John RICHEY Jr. was son of John RICHEY Sr. who md Tabitha SPENCER, dau of Moses SPENCER. John and Ann RICHEY Jr.'s 4th child, Younger Waldrop RICHEY b. June 17, 1830, married (1) Jane BAKER and (2) Martha Jane JUDGE on Dec 18, 1867, in DeSoto Co, MS. They raised their four children in Tate Co. between Coldwater and Senatobia. In 1890 they moved to Jackson Co, AL. John RICHEY Jr.'s had two other sons: Moses RICHEY b. 1827, who md. Susan Catherine PERRY on Jan 28, 1847, in Marshall Co, MS and William T. J. RICHEY who married Josephine ? Two other sons were James R. RICHEY b. 1833, and John F. RICHEY b. 1836, but do not know who they married. This RICHEY family moved from Scott Co, KY to TN to MS about 1838. Will share RICHEY family info and JUDGE family info. Martha Jane JUDGE RICHEY was the dau of Fletcher Taylor and Ann (TURK) JUDGE. Fletcher Taylor JUDGE was the son of James JUDGE and Martha (JENKINS) JUDGE BYRAM. Martha Judge BYRAM died in 1848 in what was then DeSoto Co, MS. She had remarried after death of first husband to Ebenezer BYRAM who also died in DeSoto Co, Ms. Martha (JENKINS) JUDGE md E. BYRAM in Madison Co, AL, on June 14, 1827, and they moved to DeSoto Co, MS about 1838.

I am seeking the precise birth and death dates of William Fisher BAKER which I hope are on his tombstone. My gg-grandparents were Gilbert Paul CARRINGTON (b. 19 Aug 1815 VA; d. 27 Mar 1881) and his second wife Tyrissa BROWN (b. ca 1826; d. ca 1878). I have much info about the CARRINGTON family's ancestors but cannot trace Tyrissa BROWN or her family. The couple had three children; GP CARRINGTON was a member of the MS legislature, supposedly; and his first wife was Sara Elizabeth JONES, mother of six children. Any suggestions or information?

It is said they raised or raced horses and became quite wealthy. They had eight children and moved on to AR. Their son, Christopher Columbus "Lum" BROWN [b. 1858 in Tate Co.], said to have been a bugler in the Civil War. Any help will be appreciated.

Jessie A. moved to MS after his marriage to Nancy GREER, b 1810 SC. He is on the 1860 DeSota census with wife Nancy and 3 kids: Louisa 17 b AL, Mary 16 b AR & General 12 b MS. 1870 Census DeSota County shows Jesse 64 & Nancy 60 in the household of General GREER age 22 and wife Syrena 20. His son General is buried in Greenleaf Cem, Tate Co. MS. I am interested in contacting GREERs that are working this branch. Any help will be appreciated.

I am searching for the parents of James Rucker HAM, b. 1846 DeSoto Co., MS; d. 1936 Cayce, Marshall Co., MS. His death certificate states they are John HAM and Matilda HAMM, b. AL. He was in the 1860 census DeSoto Co., MS, in the home of John HUMPHRIES and Matilda HAM (these two people had been married for six years at this time, but they have different last names on the census). I think the names of his parents on his death certificate were confused with the people who raised him. Also looking for Matthew William HUMPHREYS and his wife Sugen (Sugie) MILLER HUMPHREYS (she was the dau of a Dr.) who died in either DeSoto, Marshall or Tate Co. MS after 1882 and left four children. I have reason to believe they were living in Eudora, MS.. I have much research on the HAM and RUCKER families and documentation for my HAMS and HUMPHREYS. Thank you so very much.
