Funeral services were held at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch
January fifteenth for John William Anglin, retired Cockrum farmer. Mr.
Anglin 94, died at his home January Thirteenth. Burial was in Mt Zion
Cemetery at Independence with Brantley Funeral Home in charge of
arrangements.
Mr. Anglin had spent his entire life in Tate and Desoto counties. He was
a member of Greenleaf Methodist
Church.
He is survived by 4 daughters, Mrs. J S Hawkins of Coldwater, Mrs. J W
Massie of Sardis, Mrs. J R Ruby of Como and Mrs. J H Scruggs of Memphis;
and 6 sons, Royce Anglin of Coldwater, Wade Anglin and Sercy Anglin of
Cockrum, Gordon Anglin of Olive Branch, Bill Anglin of Byhalia and
Raymond Anglin of Memphis. He also leaves 40 grandchildren, 83 great
grandchildren and 16 great great grandchildren.

Anna Lula Perkins Anglin, 82, died Friday at Senatobia Community
Hospital. Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Brantley Funeral Home in
Olive Branch with burial in Mt Zion Cemetery in Independence. She was a
member of Mt Manna Baptist Church in Coldwater. Mrs. Anglin, the widow
of Thomas Royce Anglin, leaves a daughter, Anna Frances Moore of
Memphis; two sisters, Elizabeth Steward of Collierville, Tenn., and
Sunbeam Shipley of Arlington, Tenn., three grandchildren and four
great-grandchildren.

Cockrum - LAZELLE SOWELL ANGLIN, 90, passed away Friday, March 9, 2007, at the home of her son in the Cockrum Community. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 11, at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch, with interment to follow in Cockrum United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 1-3 p.m. She is survived by one son, Clyde Anglin and his wife, Lucy of Cockrum, MS; daughter-in-law, Ophelia Anglin of Cockrum, MS; two sisters, Eva Martin of Olive Branch, MS and Neva Bailey of Senatobia, MS; five grandchildren; eightgreat-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband, Sercy Anglin and a son, Bobby Anglin. In lieu of flowers, the family requests Memorials be made to the Cockrum United Methodist Church.
