Mrs. Fannie Gresham
Ledbetter
Mrs. Fannie Ledbetter was the wife of J.M. Ledbetter, sister of A.J.
and W.G.C. Gresham.
She was a charter member of the OES and a charter member of the D.T.
Beall Chapter UDC.
She came from one of the oldest and most influential families in the
state. She was a daughter of Capt. James Gresham, prominently
identified with the financial life of this section, having been the
owner of the first cotton mill in the South, located at Bay Springs
before the war.
