Hershel
Shinault was born in Prentiss County on April 25, 1933
to Jessie and Cynthia Shinault. Early Tuesday morning on
July 29, 2003, the death angel came for him at his home and
said “Peace be still”. He learned that serving the Lord
would pay off at an early age and joined Wolf Creek M. B.
Church where he remained until his death.He was united in
wedlock to Aaron Shinault and to this union eight children
were born. He is preceded in death by his loving wife; three
children: Vance Shinault, Herschel Nathaniel Shinault, and
Eular Mae Boyd, his mother and father; four sisters: Irene
Crump, Eular Robinson, Mildred Shinault and Loulee Luster,
one brother, Andrew (Smiley) Shinault.
His memory is cherished by his sons, Mike, Adrain, George
and Anthony Shinault of Booneville, MS; Vincent (Patricia)
Shinault of Durant, MS; two godsons: Daryl Chambers and
Robert Crump; two brothers: John Shinault ( Ruthie) of
Booneville, MS; Robert Shinault of Nashville, TN; one
sister, Elizabeth Lowery of Bonneville, MS; seven
grandchildren: Kimberly (Todd) Jones, Kendra and Kamisha
Boyd, Jeremiah Patterson, Antwain Taylor, Shonta Smith and
Gregory Pierce; a host of nieces and nephews and other
relatives and friends.
