Elevation

The highest point in Pontotoc County is 474 feet above sea level at CRUSES CROSSING, one mile northwest of the town of Pontotoc.  The lowest level in the county is in section thirty four, township eleven, range two, where the SCHOONA  CANAL crosses into Chickasaw County.
