Obituary of Miss Sadie Frances Clark

MISS SADIE CLARK DIED OCTOBER 13

  Beloved Educator, Christian Leader Dies at Family Home at Cherry Creek

 Miss Sadie Frances Clark passed away Sunday morning at an early hour at the family home in the Cherry Creek community after a long illnes.

 She was born in this same community. She attended High School at Ecru and was a graduate of Blue Mountain College. 

 Miss Clark had chosen teaching as her profession and had made an outstanding contribution in the field of elementary education as a class room teacher, where her excellent teaching and noble influence was of value in the development of early childhood. She had taught a number of years at Magee and was a member of the New Albany School faculty when she became ill.

 She was a member of the Cherry Creek Baptist Church having accepted Christ in early childhood. She was a devout Christian, often serving her Lord and church as a Sunday School teacher. 

 Funeral services were conducted from Cherry Creek Church, Dr. Wilfred C. Tyler, and a former pastor, Rev. H.G. West, conducting the services. 

 She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Fannie Caldwell Clark, a sister, Miss Birdie Lou Clark, and two brothers, T.T. and C.C. Clark. 

This clipping was not dated but the year was 1946.
