Thaxton -Lester M. Sneed, 87, died Tuesday [Jan 14, 1986] at
Lafayette County General Hospital. He was a retired farmer.
Services will be at 2 p. m. today at Union Church of the Nazarene
with the Rev. Howard Green and the Rev. Doug Jones officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in
Ecru is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include his
wife, Delilah Sneed of Thaxton; five daughters, Lourene Franklin
and Nadine Spears, both of Thaxton, Jeanette Jones of Belden,
Charlie Ruth Montgomery of Pontotoc and Betty Jo Coward of
Tupelo; five sons, J. C. Sneed of Chester Calif., L. D. Sneed of
Blue Mountain, Lester Hugh Sneed and Billy Ray Sneed, both of
Thaxton, and Gary Sneed of New Albany; 29 grandchildren, 19
great-grandchildren.
