Ecru - Delilah Jane Williams Sneed, 95, died Monday, Feb. 24, 1997, at the Pontotoc Health Care Services. She was a resident of the Hurricane Community. She was a homemaker and a member of Salem Methodist Church in Union County. Services will be at 2 p. m. today at the Union Church of the Nazarene in Union County with Bro. Doug Jones officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Browning Funeral Home of Ecru is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include four sons and daughter-in-laws, J.C. and Cordelia Sneed of Salton City, Calif., and L.H. and Fleeta Sneed, Billy Ray and Arah Sneed, and Gary and Bobbie Sneed, all of Thaxton; four daughters and sons-in-law, Lourene and Hershell Franklin of Thaxton, Jeanette and Rivers Jones of Belden, Charlie Ruth and Bill Montgomery of Pontotoc, and Betty Jo and Murry Coward of Tupelo; one sister Sudiebet Graham of Thaxton; 31 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grand children. She was preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Mattie Russell Williams; her husband, Lester M. Sneed; a daughter, Nadine Spears; a son, L.D. Sneed; two grandchildren, Barry Sneed and Amanda Jo Montgomery; four sisters, Rudell Wallace, Eula Jumper, Clara Grisham and Louette Hill; and two brothers, Lonnie Williams and Jessie L. Garrett. Pallbearers will be Mike Sneed, Ray Sneed, Tim Spears, Steve Montgomery, Scott Coward and Al Jones. Honorary pall bears will be Rory Sneed, Tony Spears, Kevin Coward, Patrick Coward, Randy Jones, Joseph Montgomery, Paul Moore and Chris Sneed. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to service time today.
