Mrs. Una Russell Dies At Hospital

Mrs. Una Russell, wife of J. E. Russell, died at the Pontotoc Community Hospital at 4:15 Tuesday morning following a serious illness of two weeks due to a heart condition. She was 17 years of age. Mrs. Russell was a life-long resident of Pontotoc County, born May 10, 1889. She was married to Mr. Russell in 1906. Services were held at the Union of the Nazarene Church at 11 o'clock Wednesday morning with the Rev. Mr. Lucius, assisted by the Rev. N.O. Nabors, officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery with Browning Funeral of Ecru in charge of arrangements. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ottis Walker, Mrs. Dudley Sneed and Mrs. Carl Hudson, all of Thaxton; five sons, Audley and Autry Russell, both of Thaxton; John Olen and Harley Gay Russell, both of Oxford, and Troy Russell of New Albany; a brother, L. M. Sneed of Thaxton; 21 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
