Ella Mae Ross Jones



Rites held for Mrs. Ellen M. Jones Mrs. Ellen Mae Jones 73, Widow of Earnest Jones, died Sunday morning, Nov. 20 at the North Mississippi Medical Center. Services were held a 2 p. m. Monday at the Baldwin Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Banks Hardy and the Rev. Winston Ross officiating. Burial was in the Pontotoc Memorial Gardens. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Mary Katherine Stanley, Belden, Mrs. Elise Stacy, Pontotoc; three sons, Rivers and W. C. Jones, both of Belden, Berdell Jones, Hattiesburg; two sisters, Mrs. Beatrice Bullard, Mrs. Effie Dowdy, both of Pontotoc; 15 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.

Notes: Earnest Jones b. 12 May 1902, son of Walter Jones and Ora Davis, d.30 May 1970; married Ellen Ross on 6 Jun 1927. Ellen was born 20 Jun 1904, daughter of Ben Ross and Adeline "Addie" Graham, d. 20 Nov 1977. Both are buried at Pontotoc Memorial Gardens in Pontotoc County off of Hwy 9.
