We the undersigned, having been recruited by Lieut. Henry Davenport on the 20th day of September 1861, in the State of Mississippi, of which State we are citizens, do agree to enlist as soldiers in Company G, (called the Pontotoc Minute Men) of the 2nd Regiment of Mississippi Volunteers, now in the service of the Confederate States of America, in the State of Virginia, as a part of the Army of the Pototmac, and we severally bind ourselves faithfully to perform all of the duties of soldiers and members of said company now under the command of Captain Hugh R.
