Miss Cordia Gibson, Summit, Miss.
Summit, Miss., Aug. 24 - Miss Cordia
Gibson, daughter of the late Major and
Harriet Bonney Gibson, died at Jackson
Monday, and her body was brought here
and interred in the Woodlawn Cemetery
Wednesday. The funeral services were
conducted at the Methodist Church by
the pastor, Rev. W. N. Thomas. Miss
Gibson was in route home from the
northern part of the state, was taken
desperately ill while on the train just
out of Jackson, and was hurried to the
hospital, wgere she expired the same day.
She is survived by four sisters and two
brothers.


Mrs. John V. Orden
Buried in McComb

Mrs. John Vann Orden died at
her home in Hattiesburg Wednes-
day, January 12, was buried Thurs-
day, January 13, at Symrna church,
15 miles east of McComb. Aged
86 years. Survived by three sons
and two daughters. Also numerous
grandchildren, one of whom, Mrs.
V. C. Gibson, lives in McComb.
