Sweetwater Cemetery

Camp Shelby, Perry County, MS

compiled by MS Phyllis McSwain, Perry County Mississippi - May 1997

Sweetwater Cemetery has belonged to the first United Methodist Church since Camp Shelby took over all that land. The church deeded the cemetery to F. L. Mills in May, 1997. The steps of the old Sweetwater church remain approximately 50 feet north of the cemetery. The materials from this church were used to build the fellowship hall and Sunday school rooms onto the New Augusta Church.
