I Solomon Crouch of the County of Benton, State of Mississippi, do make and ordain my last Will and Testament as follows:

First --- I direct that my just debts be paid by my Executor, if any there be at my death with all convenient promptness.

Secondly --- I give to my son William S. Crouch, one hundred acres of land lying on the west side of the southwest quarter of section fifteen (15) township four (4) ranger (1) west valued at one thousand dollars. Said hundred acres to be laid off as follows to with: Beginning at a point one hundred rods each of the southwest corner of said quarter thence north one hundred and sixty (160) rods to the northern boundary line of said quarter.

Third --- To my son Benjamin S. Crouch I give one hundred acres of land valued at twelve hundred dollars and described as follows to with: The remaining sixty (60) acres fo the southwest quarter of said section fifteen town 4 range one west also twenty six and 2/3 (26 2/3) acres to be taken from the west side of the southeast quarter, and thirteen (13) and one third acres to be taken from the west side fo the south half of the northeast quarter. All in section fifteen. I direct that in consideration of this devise, my son Benjamin pay to my son Calvin N. Crouch the sum of two hundred dollars.

Fourth --- I give to my son John Crouch one hundred acres of land valued at one thousand dollars and described as follows to with: sixty six and two thirds (66 2/3) acres being the middle part of the southeast quarter running north and south and thirty three and one third (33 1/3) acres  middle part of the south half of the north east quarter running north and south all in said section fifteen.

Fifth --- To my son Calvin N. Crouch I must give that remaining one hundred acres all in said section 15 valued at eight hundred dollars and describing as follows to with: sixty six and two thirds (66 2/3) acres on the east side of the southeast quarter and thirty three and one third (33 1/3) acres on the east side of the south half of the northeast quarter of said section fifteen.

Sixth --- I give to my Granddaughter Ida N. Crouch one hundred dollars to be held in trust for her by my Executor until she obtains the age of eighteen years. Should she die before reaching the age of eighteen years, leaving no descendants, said one hundred dollars I desire to go equally to my three daughters, and in the court that one or more of my said daughters should have died leaving descendants then such descendant or descendants to take the share of their deceased mother. Should the said Ida attain the age of eighteen years then said one hundred dollars to be absolutely hers.

Seventh --- I give to each of my three daughters - Sarah Spillers, Nancy Spillers and Emily J. Wilson - the sum of one hundred and eighty dollars or so much of said sum to each as my estate may be sufficient to make up after deducting from it the devises and bequests hence before made.

Eighth --- I hereby appoint J.C. Julian Executor of this my last will and testament, but should he from any cause not qualify as such, then I appoint H.J. Casey, Esq. to act in his stead.

Solomon is brother to John Crouch of Richmond County NC and Sarah McDaniel, wife of Eli McDaniel of Georgia. At this time is also reported to be brother of Samuel Crouch of Richmond Co. NC but this information is not documented as fact yet.
