Note: John J. Purvis & Eliza E. King were m. in 1845, and made their home near Benton, Yazoo Co., Ms.  The home stands today (1960), is in good repair, and is marked by an avenue of cedars from the highway to the house.

John J. Purvis d. 5 Jan, 1875 and Eliza Burvis died 10 Jan, 1856.
