Edwin S. & Leodica Carter Caraway Bible Record - Jasper Co., Ms.

Note: Edwin S. Caraway s/o Archibald (Arche) Caraway (b. 1766 ) and Elizabeth Taylor Caraway (b. 1777 ) was one of 8 of their 13 children who migrated from Anson Co., N.C. to Ms. Edwin S. died in 1865 in Jones Co., Ms. at the home Of his son, Ellis, who was killed in the Civil War in 1864. Leodica Carter Caraway (b. 1806 in Ga. )w/o Edwin S. Caraway, was the d/o Isaac Carter.
Their daughter, Frances Elizabeth Caraway (b. 1840 in Ms.) married Charles Fletcher Goodwin (b. 1833 in Ala. ). They are the great grandparents of Miss Harriet Black Heidelberg of 4014 Hawthrne Dr., Jackson, Ms. (1960)
Rev. Wm. Taylor (f/o Elizabeth Taylor Caraway, served during the Rev. War as a private in Shepherd's Co., N.C. Regiment.

She was the daughter of Thomas Shelton Jr. (26 May, 1763 Va. /20 Aug, 1857 Brandon / buried Brandon cemetery) and his 3rd wife, Phebe Hatcher Shelton Thomas Shelton Jr. was the son of Thomas Shelton Sr., said to have been a Rev. soldier.
      Sarah Elizabeth Maxey d/o Robert & Harriet V. Shelton Maxey (b. 22 Ap, 1839 Brandon, Ms. /married there 13 Oct, 1869 ) Absolom Theopolis Falls (24 June, 1834 Ohio /19 Jan, 1913 Dallas, Tx. ) Both are buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Jackson, Ms.
