Obituary from the Texas Baptist
Andrew Jackson departed this life November 14, 1884, aged 49
years, at His home on Red River, about 13 miles from Texarkana. Brother
Neely was born and raised in Rankin Co., Miss. His parents gave the
ground for the church and grave yard of what is still known as Liberty
Church.
Bro. Neely was converted, baptized and united with the church in 1866;
being A brother-in-law to the Hon. Judge Estes of Texarkana, Texaw.
When Bro. Neely came to this country, he united with the First Baptist
Church of Texarkana and lived a constant christian life until called to
a better land.
He leaves a devoted wife, three daughters and two sons
(all small) to follow him to the Father's home on high.

of Judge Estes. The funeral will take place today at 10 oclock
from the First Baptist Church.

Clark Co., Ga. He was born in 1742 in Lancaster Co., Pa. and died
