                                          MARRIAGE  BOND

THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI
   CHICASAW COUNTY.

                  KNOW ALL MEN BY these Presents:
That we, Rubin Stringfellow and R. A. Crawford

are held and firmly bound unto the State of Mississippi, in the penal sum of One Hundred Dollars, the payment whereof, well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators, jointly, separately, and firmly by these presents. Signed by us and sealed with our seals this 1st day of Feby  ........A.D. 1879

    The Condition of the Obligation is such, That, whereas, a marriage is intended to be solemnized between
Mr. Rubin Stringfellow                and  Miss Hattie E. Stevens

and a License therefor has this day been granted. Now, if there be no lawful cause to obstruct said marriage, then this obligation to be void, otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.
