This is a photo of the John H. "Sarge" Harmon Family taken in front of the old Harmon Home place in Monroe Co., Mississippi approximately 6 miles East of Smithville. Take Pearce Chapel Rd and take the first right past Bethlehem Church and the old mill was located on the left in from of the home now owned by Grady West.

The photo was taken approx. 1899 or 1900 before the death of John H. Harmon in 1901. From left to right, fist adult male, Joseph Elvester "Eli" Harmon (moved to Paris, Lafayette Co., MS approx. 1906), 2nd adult male, John H. "Sarge" Harmon, b. 1839 d. 1901, buried at Bethelehem Cemetery, Monroe Co., MS. The woman in the middle is Lucy E. Creel Plunkett who is also buried at Bethlehem Cemetery with no tombstone. The adult woman to the extreme right is Elizabeth Ann Pernell Harmon, wife of John H. Harmon. I have not been able to identify
any of the children in the photo. I own the original photo.
