Oak Grove Has School Dedication

 

          What many describe as “the prettiest school building in Lamar” has just been completed at Oak Grove and will be dedicated at an all day celebration Thanksgiving Day November 27.


          The good people of Oak Grove community are anticipating a most enjoyable occasion and elaborate preparations are in process to make it such for all who visit them Thursday next.


          The faculty makes the following announcement.


          Devotional Exercise by Rev. Gibbs; Welcome Address, Annie Hatten; Response, Prof. J.A. Davis; Address, Theo. G. Bilbo, (invited).


          Other prominent speakers of the day- Hon. T. P. Dale, Hon. Dan Currie, Hon. Jno. A. Yeager, Hon. R. L. Bennett, Hon. H.C. Yawn, Hon. N.C. Hill. Music will be furnished through the day. Dinner on the ground, (barbecue). The afternoon will be devoted to athletics. Come all and help us celebrate an occasion that makes our hearts leap with joy.
