George Ann Knight is the daughter of Rachel (a slave of John "Jackie" Knight). She was born October 14, 1855. She died August 22, 1922 (note: a search was made for a death record, no record has been found yet.). See the George Ann Knight Will.

George Ann is buried at the Knight Cemetery in Jasper County, MS. Her headstone reads Georgiann. See the photo of her headstone at the Knight Cemetery.

1. John Howard Knight born October 1872 in Jasper Co., MS. Married 1st to Candace Martha J. Smith born March 1877 in Mississippi. John Howard & Candace had the following children: Nettie born August 1894; Millie Jane born December 1895; Ely Ann born November 1897; Lester born March 10, 1900; Sarah Ann born 1904; Wesley born 1911; Linnie born 1915; and Onie born 1919.

2. Rachel Anna Knight born March 4, 1874 in Jasper Co., MS. In the 1880 census this child is listed as Rachel. Died June 3, 1972 in Huntsville, Madison Co., Alabama. Never married.

3. Grace "Gracie" Knight born April 17, 1891 in Jasper County, MS. She died October 2, 1966. Daughter of Newton Knight.

4. Lessie Knight born May 1894 in Jasper County, MS. Daughter of Newton Knight. She moved to Texas.
   Married 1st to William Alonzo Bounds (born Feb 1, 1886). William Alonzo was called by his middle name. His family resided in Lumberton, Lamar County, MS.

   Children of Alonzo Bounds & wife Lessie are:
   

   1. John Clifton Bounds was born September 25, 1911 in MS. He died December 20, 1922 in Jefferson County, TX. He is buried at Magnolia Cemetery, Jeffeson County, TX.
   2. Virgil Earl Bounds born abt. 1916.

   Lessie is listed with her children in the 1920 Jefferson County, TX Census.

   Lessie married 2nd to John Riley Lewis.
