Arthur Benjamin Bullard, along with his father, William Gossett Bullard and mother Mary Sweeney and other family members, came from Limestone County AL to MS. He lived in Fulton and was a self taught lawyer and judge. He, along with his father, were Cumberland Presbyterian ministers. His only son by Rachel Copeland, Clarence Marion, was my grandfather and he came to Hill County Texas in 1886 and married my widowed grandmother, Hilah Jane Ince Breeden. He died before I was born. After the 1860 Itawamba County census, he is not on any census until 1900 in Hill county. For twenty-six years we found no record of him. After I began the hobby of genealogy, I found informaion about some of his sisters.
I got to come to Itawamba County in 2002 and saw Rachel Copeland's grave in the Fulton Cemetery. No record of a grave, burial or any mention of Arthur Benjamin's death except in a book of Masons in Itawamba county lists his death as January 1867.
