1850, 1860, and 1870 censuses in Marion County, AL.In 1850
the children listed are John 15), James(14), Nancy J.(12),
my ggf Josiah (10), Lafayette (9), Thomas G. (6) and the

Salena (51) are listed next door to a possible son, James
(35) in the 1870 census in Marion County, Al. They are not
in Alabama in 1880. From a letter written June 1892 to the
family of Josiah Kennedy in Hill County, Texas, I know that
a niece of Josiah Kennedy by the name of Lillian Kennedy
and her grandmother Salena Kennedy were living in Rara Avis,
Miss. Any information on this Kennedy family living in Itawamba
County in 1892 would be appreciated. By marriage they were
connected to the Lindsey, Duke, and Donham families in Marion
