Humphreys County,
Mississippi
Straight Bayou Cemetery, est 1861
Straight Bayou Baptist Church faces the bayou or creek and overlooks the cemetery.  The old section of the cemetery is closed for burial due to not having adequate record of those who may be eternally resting.
If you have access to any cemetery listings or tombstone photographs from Humphreys County,
and you are willing to share them with your fellow researchers, please let me know.
I would like to have listings and photos for all of the cemeteries in the county.
Suggested corrections and/or additions will be noted in RED.
The original data will not be removed.  Do you know of others
buried here?  Let me knowe-mail and I will post their names and data.
This cemetery was recorded by Stanley & Cindy Marshall
and contributed by Sharon Grissett with updates by the Marshalls.
The thanks of all Humphreys County researchers go to all of them
for their very unselfish contributions.
Please use the "Find button" on your browser to find the surname you are looking for.
Listings taken from existing markers and does not include all that are buried here.
If there wasn't a marker as of the time this cemetery was indexed then the site isn't listed.

Further information on Straight Bayou burials can be found at
