    A LIST OF ACTS passed by the General Assembly of the state of Mississippi for 1830. 

    1. An act to extend the laws of the State of Mississippi over the persons and property of the Indians residents within it’s limits. 

    2. An act to incorporate the East Fork Baptist Church, in the County of Amite. 

    3. An act to authorize the executors of the last will and testament of JOSIAH GAYLE, deceased, to remove the personal property of the said JOSIAH GAYLE, deceased, into the Sate of Louisiana, and for other purposes. 

    4. An act to authorize the guardians of the minor heirs of DAVID LEE deceased, to make a conveyance of a title in a certain tract of land. 

    5. An act to authorize the drawing of a Lottery for the construction of a road from Liberty in Amite county, to Fort Adams in Wilkinson county. 

    6. An act to authorize STEPHEN FLOWERS, guardian of the minor heirs of THOMAS SCOTT, deceased, to sell a tract of land belonging to said heirs. 

    7. An act to authorize the administrator and administratrix of D. B. PINSON, deceased, to sell personal property. 

    8. An act to authorize the removal of the property of JAMES OATS into the State of Louisiana. 

    9. An act to authorize MARCUS D. SHELBY to sell and dispose of the real estate of his son, ELBERT SHELBY. 

    10. An act to incorporate the officers and members of Hiram Lodge, No. 9, in the State of Mississippi. 

    11. A memorial of the State of Mississippi. 

    12. An act to amend an act entitled ‘An act to provide for the election of a public printer, prescribing his duties, and fixing the prices for the public printings.’ Approved February 5th, 1829 

    13. An act to change the name of ALEXANDER VANCOURT SCHENCK. 

    14. An act to authorize the administrator and administratrix of ROBERT LOWRY deceased, to transfer real estate. 

    15. An act to incorporate Mount Albian Baptist Church. 

    16. A memorial, in relation to sixteenth section, patented: by William Whitehead; 

    17: An act providing that Justices of the peace shall give bond and security for the payment over according to law, all moneys that may come into their hands, by virtue of their commissions as Justices of the peace. 

    18. An act to subject a portion of the land occupied by the CHOCTAW TRIBE of Indians, to the legal process emanating from the county of Covington, and the county of Jones. 

    19. An act to incorporate the trustees of the MARION ACADEMY in the county of Wilkinson , and for other purposes. 

    20. An act to amend an act to incorporate the town of Port Gibson, in Claiborne county; passed February 9th 1821. 

    21. An act to incorporate the Baptist Church, called New Providence, in Copiah County. 

    22. An act concerning the heirs of WILLIAM ROBB, deceased. 

    23. An act to amend an act entitled ‘an act to establish a Court of Probate for the granting letters testamentary, of administration and guardianship, for county police and the trial of slaves. Passed January 23d 1824. 

    24. An act to divide the county of Monroe, and form a new county out of the same, and for other purposes. 

    25. An act to amend an act entitled an act concerning attorneys and counselors at law, Passed June 25th, 1822. 

    26. An act to incorporate the Presbyterian Church of Christ, Beersheba, in Monroe county. 

    27. An act to take the census of the State of Mississippi, for the year 1830. 

    28. An act to incorporate the trustees of Hebron Methodist Church, in Claiborne county. 

    29. An act to incorporate the town of Meadville, in the county of Franklin. 

    30. An act to authorize the county court of Adams county to levy a special tax. 

    31. An act to emancipate DAVID GRANT, a person of color 

    32. A resolution in relation to PETER ISLER. 

    33. A resolution to dissolve the bonds of matrimony heretofore existing between AMELIA STONE and THOMAS STONE. 

    34. An act to authorize the removal of the estate of the minor heirs of WILLIAM TAYLOR, deceased, late of Warren county to the state of South Carolina, and for other purposes. 

    35. An act to amend an act appropriating the moneys arising form the rents of school lands, and for other purposes. 

    36. An act to alter the time of holding the orphans court and county and Probate Court, in the county of Franklin. 

    37. An act to reduce the number of the terms of the county Court and the orphan’s court, in the county of Covington. 

    38. An act to change the Judicial District there in named, and for other purposes. 

    39. An act to change the Judicial District therein named, and for other purposes. 

    40. An act to compel Clerks, Registers, and Sheriffs, to keep their offices at their respective Court Houses. 

    41. An act prescribing the time, manner, and place of holding elections for Senators to Congress. 

    42. An act for the relief of JOSEPH PERKINGS. 

    43. An act to define the boundary lines between the counties of Jackson and Hancock. 

    44. An act for the relief of JOHN ALEXANDER, and for other purposes. 

    45. A resolution concurring with the states of South Carolina, Georgia, and Virginia, in the opinion expressed by them, on the subject of the Tariff Colonization Society and Internal Improvement. 

    46. Resolutions and report of the Judiciary Committee, relative to the right of this state, to the unappropriated lands with in her jurisdiction. 

    47. A resolution to grant leave of absence to the -----[paper creased here] 

    48. A resolution to grant leave of absence to the Honorable ISAAC R. NICHOLSON. 

    49. An act to repeal parts of a n act entitled an act to prescribe the mode of changing the revenue in civil cases. Passed January 20th 1823. 

    50. An act to carry into effect the seventh section of the charter of the Book of the State of Mississippi. 

    51. An actg. for the relief of securities of public officers, in certain cases. 

    52. An act to amend an act concerning hawkers and pedlars. 

    53. An act to change the time of holding the Chancery Court in the Eastern and third Districts, and for other purposes. 

    54. An act to extend the remedy by scire facias, in cases for a devastative. 

    55. An act concerning the heirs of SUSAN HARDEN. 

    56. An act to authorize the Judge of the Criminal Court of Adams County to hold a special term of said court, and for other purposes. 

    57. A Memorial relative to the mail route between Columbia and Madisonville.

    58. An act to amend an act prescribing the mode of ascertaining and accessing the taxable property within this State, and for collecting the public revenue. passed June 25th, 1822. 

    59. An act further to amend the several acts and parts of acts relating to powers and jurisdiction of the Circuit Courts of law of this State; for other purposes. 

    60. An act further to amend an act to authorize a lease of certain lots therein named and for other purposes. Passed February 10th, 1821. 

    61. An act to authorize the building of a bridge over Dog river, and to provide for the payment of the same. 

    62., An act to incorporate the Trustees of the Natchez Academy. 

    63. An act to change the names of certain persons therein name and for other purposes.

    64. An act to amend the 54th Section of an act, entitled an act to establish a court of chancery in this state, and to prescribe the rules of proceeding therein, passed November 27th, 1821, and for other purposes. 

    65. An act to amend an act entitled an act to establish a Court of Probate, for the granting letters testamentary, of administrations and guardianship, for county police and for the trial of slaves. 

    66. An act to dispense with the time prescribed by law, for WILLIAM T. JONES, of Wilkinson county, attaining the age of majority, and for other purposes. 

    67. An act to complete the county jail in and for the county of Claiborne, and for other purposes there in mentioned. 

    68. An act to incorporate the Zion Hill Baptist Church, in the county of Amite. 

    69. An act to amend and entitle ‘An act concerning stray stock and drovers. 

    70. An act to incorporate the Baptist Church of Christ at Mound Bluff Madison County. 

    71. An act to provide for reporting the decisions of the Court of Chancery, and for other purposes. 

    72. An act appointing commissioners to receive subscriptions, appropriating the same to the improvement of a road therein named. 

    72. An act to establish permanently the Seat of Justice of Washington County. 

    74. An act for the better relief of the poor of Lawrence County. 

    75. An act to lay off a town on the west side of Pascagoula Bay,. 

    76. A Resolution of the State of Mississippi on the subject of amending the Constitution of the United States. 

    77. A resolution to dissolve the bonds of matrimony heretofore existing between CHARLOTTE HAIL and NICHOLAS HAIL. 

    78. A memorial to Congress on the subject of forfeited lands, on the 4th July, 1829. 

    79. An act to amend an act entitled ‘an act to establish a Court of Probate for the granting letters testamentary of administration and guardianship, for county police, and for the trial of slaves. Passed January 23, 1824. 

    80. An act concerning the statues of limitation, and for preventing frivolous and vexations suits. 

    81. An act to change one of the places for holding elections in Claiborne County. 

    82. An act concerning the estate of BENJAMIN N. ROGERS, deceased. 

    83. An act to establish a Planters’ Bank in the State of Mississippi. 

    84. A Resolution authorizing the Auditor of Public Accounts to suspend the order of a suit in case there mentioned.

    85. An act to establish and charge election precincts in certain counties therein named. 

    86. An act relative to the distributions of the laws and Journals of both Houses of the “General assembly. 

    87. An act for the relief of JASPER A McQUARY. 

    88. A resolution to dissolve the bonds of matrimony heretofore existing between JAMES CARRAWAY and MARY CARRAWAY. 

    89. A resolution to dissolve the bonds matrimony heretofore existing between JOHN M. DYE and SARAH DYE. 

    90. An act to dispense with the time prescribed by law, for JOSEPH M. McMORRIS, of Wilkinson county, attaining the age of majority. 

    91. An act to levy a special tax in the County there in named and for other purposes. 

    92. An act to change the time of the meeting of the General Assembly. 

    93. A resolution relative to the honorable JOHN A QUITMAN. 

    94. an act to authorize the guardian of the minor heirs of ISAAC NICHOLS, deceased, to remove the persons and property of said minors without the limits of this State. 

    95. An act for the further examination and survey of the pass or bayou connecting the head waters of Yazoo with the Mississippi River. 

    96. An act to revive and amend an act to incorporate the town of Washington in Adams County. Passed February 2d, 1825. 

    97. An act to incorporate the officers and members of Asylum Lodge, No. 6, in the town of Woodville. 

    98. An act to amend the 38th section of the 11th chapter of the Revised Code. 

    99. An act to attach the county of Lownders to the 6th Judicial district; and for other purposes.

    104. An act to authorize the Board of Road Commissioners for the county of Warren to hold their sessions on the third Mondays in April and October. 

    105. An act to amend an act supplemental to an act entitled an act to amend the charter of the Bank of Mississippi. 

    106. An act to amend the several act for the appointing commissioners to superintend the opening of the bar through the East pass of the mouth of the Pascaqoula River. 

    107. An act further to define and carry into effect the act to extend the laws over the persons and property of the persons called Indians in this State. 

    108. An act to establish a town on the 16th section in township 10, range 3, west of the basis meridian, in the county of Yazoo.

    115. An act for erecting a bridge over Cochrane’s Lake, in Green county. 

    116. An act to incorporate the town of Clinton, in Hinds county. 

    117. An act concerning highways, ferries, and bridges, passed June 29, 1822. 

    118. An act to amend the 93d chapter of the acts of 1828. 

    119. An act to revive the Literary Fund law, passed November 25, 1821. 

    120. An act to emancipate certain slaves therein named. 

    121. A resolution for the relief of DAVID BARNEY., 

    122. A resolution to dissolve the bonds of Matrimony heretofore subsisting between FERGUSON. 

    123. A resolution acknowledging the receipt of one hundred family prayer books from an unknown donor. 

    124. A memorial of the Legislature of the Sate of Mississippi.

    126. An act making appropriations to certain persons therein named. 

    127. An act to add the federal portions of the country occupied by the CHOCTAW and CHICKASAW tribes of Indians, there in named.
