Will of Harry Turner

Will book 2, page 503, dated September 29,1901
Hinds County MS.
 

The will of my great-great- grandfather, Harry Turner.  He was formerly owned by the 
Wells Family.  His first former owner was Nathaniel Wells, of Pike County, MS, the 
father of Robert and Thomas; the second former was Robert Wells of Hinds County, 
the third and final former owner was Thomas Wells of Hinds County, MS, the father 
of W. Calvin Wells. Af the end of slavery he took his father's surname.

I Harry Turner of the County Hinds and state of Mississippi. Knowing the uncertainty of life and the certainty of death do make and publish and declare this my last will and testament.

1st I desire that all my just debts shall be paid.

2nd I will and bequeath to my two daughters Lucinda Black and Indiana Kelley all of the rest and residue of my estate both real and personal. 

3rd I request my former young master and friend W. Calvin Wells do act as my executor to carry out for me the provisions of this will.
