MR. W.G, CLARK DIED SUNDAY AT HOME HERE
Clarksdale newspaper-----Died June 3, 1917


 
Had Resided In Clarksdale For Three years--Funeral Was Held Yesterday.
W.G. Clark, who was stricken with paralysis June 3, died Sunday morning
at 10 o¹clock.  He had been a patient sufferer of Brights disease for the
past four years.

Mr. Clark came from Jackson, Miss., three years ago to make his home in
Clarksdale.  He was a son of Dr. S.V. Clark also a grandson of General
William Clark who was State Treasurer for years.  Mr. Clark was from a fine
southern family.  He leaves a wife and two children; Miss Genevieve and Dick and two brothers Sam and Robert Clark the latter is employed at the Aleazar Hotel.
He carried several thousand dollars life insurance.

He was laid to rest in the Grange cemetery yesterday morning at 10
o¹clock.  Dr. Martin Ball conducted the funeral services
