Mrs. Eva A Birdsong

Mrs. Eva A Birdsong, 79, lifelong resident of Edwards, Miss, died at 2:15 saturday afternoon following a long illness. Mrs Birdsong made her home with her Niece, Mrs. J.R, Harrell.  she was the widow of the late N.R.
Birdsong who preceded her in death fifty years ago  she was a member of the Edwards Presbyterian church.

She is survived by one sister, Mrs. R.M.Perry of Edwards; four nieces,
J.R. Harrell, Edwards, Mrs. Eva Cox, Madison, Mrs. N,J. Smith, Learned and
Mrs. Glover Warner, of Vicksburg; and a nephew, A.C. Askew of Houston,
Texas.  A number of great nieces and great nephews also survive.

Funeral services were held at 11 o¹clock Monday morning from the Wright
& Ferguson Chapel with Rev A.W. Whitaker, and Rev. M.B. Lawrence,
officiating.  Interment was in the Edwards Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were: H.R. Bryant, C.D. Noble, A.V. Ballard, E.A.
Birdsong, J.L. Noble, and C.L. Buford.
Honorary pallbearers were: W.A. Montgomery, Dr. A.M. Ragan, Dr. D.C.
Alsobrook, G.W. Luster, J.T. White, E.F. Crisler, and E.F. Ragan, all of
Edwards and Fred Evens, Jr., James McKeown and Dr. Guy C. Jarratt, all of
Vicksburg.
