Slave Deed - Lucy

Received of Robert D. Wade a note drawn by W. W. Hall dated 21st. April, 1838 & payable the 1st. day of March 1839 for Two Hundred Dollars & also One hundred Dollars in cash it bring infull for the purchase money for a certain negro woman named Lucy aged about thirty five years the right & Title I warrant but do not warrant any soundness whatever as I  sell her as being unsound & said knows has examined her to his satisfaction & Takes her as he finds her

Lucy departed this life on Thursday Night about ten o’clock In the Night aged Sixty year of age as good and (h)onest nigero woman as ever Live
