Archibald  & Cynthia J. McGehee

Solomon Lowry This Indenture made this twenty first day of February in the year eighteen hundred & forty eight between Archibald McGehee and his wife Cynthia J. of Hinds County and State of Mississippi of the one part and Solomon Lowry of the County and State above of the other part - Witnesseth: That the said Archibald McGehee and his wife for and in consideration of the sum of one thousand and thirty to them in hand paid, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have this day given granted, bargained sold, aliened, released, conveyed and confirmed and by these presents do sell and convey unto the said Solomon Lowry the following described tracts or parcels of land lying and being in the County of Scott and State aforesaid, to wit;  The East half of the South West
quarter and West half of the South East quarter of Section No.Seventeen
Also the East half of the North West quarter, and the West half of the North East
quarter of section Twenty, all of Township eight, Range Seven East to have and to hold
the above described tracts or parcels of land with the tenements and appurtenances
thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining unto the said Solomon Lowry his heirs
and assigns forever.  And the said Archibald McGehee and his wife for themselves,
their heirs, executors and administrators do hereby and in consideration of the ______
warrant and will forever defend the title to the above described and hereby granted
premises to said Solomon Lowry his heirs and assigns from and against themselves
and all and every person or persons holding or claiming under them the said Archibald
McGehee and wife, and also against the lawful title, claim or demand of all and every
person or persons whomsoever - In testimony whereof the said Archibald and wife
hereto subscribe their names and affix their seals.

The State of Mississippi Cynthis J. McGehee
Personally appeared before me Robert Hughs Clerk of the Superior Court of Chancery of Said State Cynthia J. McGehee, wife of Archibald McGehee whose name is signed to the within Deed and being by me, examined separate and apart from her said husband acknowled (sic) that the signed, sealed and delivered the said Deed on the day of its date and for the uses and purposes therein set forth as her voluntary act and deed and done without any fear threat or compulsion upon the part of her said husband - In testimony whereof I have hereto signed my name and affixed the seal of said Court at the City of Jackson the 14th day of March AD 1848 -

Scott County I Alfred Eastland Clerk of the Probate Court in and for said County do hereby
certify that the within and foregoing Deed and certificates of acknowledgement and this

Given under my hand and seal of office at Hillsboro this 14th day of February 1849.
