 JAMES ROBERTS FAMILY CEMETERY
Recorded and contributed by Mary Collins Landin  7-06-05

Located:  In deep woods on a hill near the intersection of Champion Hill and Billy Fields Roads in Hinds County, MS (S30T6NR3W).   Recorded:  By Mary Collins Landin, on 18 Apr 1979
First Grave:  1844

Remarks: In 1979, this very old cemetery was totally abandoned, and was almost impossible to find.  It has many unmarked graves and has a thick overgrowth of poison ivy and rattan.  It is known locally to some as the Cook Cemetery, but there are no Cook gravestones in it.  The Sons of Confederate Veterans have cleaned up the cemetery and area leading to it in 2005.
