Picture of a school in Jackson, my grandfather Huber Catron did not want his girls riding the tally hoe (horse drawn wagon) to school in Rankin co. There are no names on the picture. I do know one is my Aunt Ava I think she is fifth child from left on the first row. Huber’s sister Katie Catron Thomas moved to Jackson and had a boarding house after her husband Oscar died, she had to provide for her three boys. Huber sent his girls Mildred (my mother), Ava, Marion and Edith to live with Katie and attend school in Jackson

Milred Catron at Central High School
The Clarion Ledger printed class photo’s. This one is from 1928 I donated one for the year 1930 to the archives in Jackson.
