John Isaac Guion was born on November 18, 1802 in Adams County
Mississippi.
Mississippi Governor. As president pro tempore of the state senate, Guion became governor when John A. Quitman resigned in February 1851. Guion served as governor until November 1851. He was later elected circuit judge, a position he held at the time of his death. (bio by: NM)
